Philosophy
The name of our organization, Financial Second Opinions, LLC says what we are. We recognize that looking at any problem after the fact provides information we do not acknowledge previously. We accept this as a human characteristic.
When I was just a youngster, I heard the phrase; there is nothing new under the sun. I did not understand the wisdom of these words then, but as I aged I began to understand the significance of those seven words. King Solomon’s (1000 B.C.–922 B.C,) in the book of Proverbs said:
Where no counsel is, the people fall. But in a multitude of counselors, there is safety.”
More recently Ronald Reagan (1911-2004), our 40th President offered the following words,
Trust, but verify” as our Foreign Service negotiated with Russia during the Cold War.
Therein is our philosophy, there is nothing new under the sun and wise men have acknowledged second opinions for 3,000 years.
